I'm feeling a bit down

I've just been made reduntant. That means I am losing my job and my home and they want us to move out asap. My head is spinning. I never slept a wink last night and I am just shaking. Could y'all share prayer for me. Thanks. I've been told I will have an excellent reference as I am an excellent cook, but they will no longer require the services of a cook, and in fact they are planning on either selling our cottage or renting it out. I think devastated is the word that covers how I am feeling right now.

  1. Devasted is a mild word. My arms would be around you if I could get in there - God and all his Angels take up a lot of room! At a time like this you don't need platitudes so I won't write them. Do you not have security of tenure or is the law different for tied cottages?

If there's anyone needs praying for right now it's you and Todd. God bless you my sweet friend.

  2. Oh Marie, I am so sorry! This has been in the back of my mind ever since you mentioned it before but I was thinking hopefully, they patched things up!

I will be praying for you, sweet friend, and I know the Lord has something good in store for you. Someday you will be able to look back and see clearly what that good thing is. This is something that will require the Lord to carry you so there will be only one set of footprints in the sand...but soon you will be walking beside him again. I am so thankful He will be there for you to help and comfort in your time of struggle. Your valiant faith will carry your through. You have filled your oil lamp daily and you are prepared! With God, nothing is impossible. Go forward in faith and remember D&C 6:26. "Look unto me in every thought, doubt not fear not." This scripture has been a tremendous help to me when fear starts to over take the peace of Faith. God will bless you and Todd! And we will pray!

    All my love, Bon

  4. Oh, Marie, I am so, so sorry. And to tell you that you need to move ASAP in the face of such devastating news is truly unconscionable. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Praying that an awesome new door opens up for you and that you will be able to look back one day and see how the Lord had your best interests in mind all along.
